overall in structurally stable condition, the side chairs exhibiting nice honest signs of wear commensurate with age and use, including some scrapes, scuffing, and abrasions / losses to edges, the armchairs having a varying lighter surface finish--possibly means they were refinished; one armchair with loose caster (missing screws); the other armchair: with glued caster that also shows green oxidation, right-facing arm missing wood segment to upright of armrest; the majority of the side chairs are missing applied wood elements to show brackets at either side, one chair with detached piece tied to leg; one side chair with age crack to left-facing rear leg, which has possibly been stabilized; almost all the side chairs having evidence of glue reinforcement / tightening to joints, with glue residue present; the upholstery is a modern replacement, but aesthetically pleasing and with only a few minor stains or spots; dust covers underneath all chairs have not been removed for inspection
