A group of seven Chinese Export porcelain tablewares from the "Silviera Service," made for the Portuguese Market, late 18th century

All decorated with armorial crest in the form of an oval reserve containing stripes and motto, "Findit Quascumquae," flanked by laurel twigs and surmounted by gray bear within crown, the rim gilt and decorated with orange feather pattern, comprising a covered platter, three soup plates, and three plates, the undersides bearing accession numbers, 79.500.8-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, and labels with old Winfield Foundation accession numbers.

with very minor occasional loss to enamel and gilding commensurate with age; some pieces exhibiting possible signs of being re-baked, with slightly mottled glaze and occasional minor dark specks of frit; covered dish: finial with firing crack from the making, and with some general loss to gilding; small plate 1: with hairline crack along rim and an area of repaired breaks with overpainting visible; small plate 2: long hairline crack to center; small plate 3: a few tiny hairline cracks along rim, the underside with abrasion / surface chip with blue enamel transfer, some minor areas of scuffing / wear to top; soup plate 1: a couple tiny hairline cracks along rim, some areas of minor wear / scuffing to well; soup plate 2: a chip with tiny hairline crack along rim, scattered areas of wear / scuffing to well, the underside exhibiting clear signs of being re-baked / glazed, with scattered dark specks of fritting throughout; soup plate 3: areas of scuffing / wear to well
