attractive and present very well overall; the glass is fairly heavy, which would indicate that they the mirrors are more likely 19th century, although they show nice signs of age including patina and loss of silvering to mirror plates as well as inclusions and flecking; the frames are largely intact, showing nice signs of wear to gilding; some losses to gilding and gesso commensurate with age and use, and some general crackling to gilding / gesso along crests; the backboards appear to be old, and possibly secured-- with presence of old gauze tape over seams
