Provenance:
David B. Findlay Galleries, New York, New York.
Acquired directly from the above by the present owner.
Framed: 35 x 42 1/2 inches.
Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is not lined; one small white paint droplet in the upper right corner; scattered instances of small paint losses and wear along the stretcher bar edges, mostly covered by the frame; a thin, vertical area of wear to the paint extending along the center left, approximately 12 inches in length. Under UV light: the aforementioned paint droplet fluoresces, but does not appear to be inpainting; areas of the sky fluoresce, but appear to be a result of the pigment used and not inpainting.
