Framed: 30 1/4 x 40 1/4 inches.

Significant deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is laid to masonite and margins are trimmed; passages of the canvas are flattened due to the mounting process; a network of stable craquelures throughout; one faint abrasion to the varnish in the upper left corner; under a yellowed varnish. Under UV light: uneven, thick varnish layer prohibits viewing of most inpainting, although there appears to be small areas of inpainting in the upper center of the sky.
