Sold: Freeman's, Philadelphia, January 29, 2015, lot 224

The unlined canvas is framed under glass; the painting has not been examined out of its frame. There is some visible though generally unobtrusive surface craquelure. Under ultraviolet light there are some hue disparities which, in the approximate upper half of the canvas may well be a result of uneven residual varnish. There is some scattered retouching to parts of the approximately lower half of the canvas, including to parts of chest of drawers and shoes at left, some retouching to area below shelf at right, some generally minor retouching to parts of figures, and more pronounced restoration at lower right in foreground including at lower right corner.
