Framed: 31 1/2 x 40 1/2 inches.

The panel is bowed at the upper and lower edges and two horizontal splits are reinforced on the reverse. The upper horizontal split is visible as a fine hairline crack; the second one, in the lower half, is less visible. Both hairline cracks have visible inpainting. The paint is thinly applied but it is stable and under a glossy, yellowed varnish. Fine inpainting through the lower half and through the sky is visible with the naked eye. The varnish is yellowed and streaky at upper left quadrant. Under UV light: the varnish is thick and old, obscuring partially the abovementioned inpainting.
