The canvas is not lined. There is an unrepaired, vertical tear, 2 inches long, at upper left, above the figure's left arm. An additional repaired vertical tear accompanied by inpainting in the lower center, approximately 7 inches in length. One area of repair in the center above this, only visible from the verso. Widely-spaced craquelure and stretcher bars marks at center of canvas. The varnish is slightly soiled. Frame abrasion along the left edge. Under UV light: the aforementioned vertical tear in the lower center fluoresces, as well as the small area of repair above it. One additional, small area of inpainting in the center right.
