Good and stable condition. Has an attractive patina throughout. No damage or losses noted. Appears to be from the 19th century, but we are unsure if it's an original casting or later. The bronze is firmly affixed to a marble base and cannot be removed, so the underside of the bronze can't be examined. No foundry marks are visible. The consignor had a collection of good animalier sculptures bought from good dealers, but did not save the provenance for this one.
