The writing table is slightly wobbly. There is a repair break to the back left leg just below the carcas. Old glue repairs are partially detaching. Overall there is wear. The top has shrinkage splits and cracks and stains. The single drawer compartment is open at bottom without a dust liner.
The side chair's caned seat is in delicate condition with some broken or loose threads at the front rail. The gilt-metal mounts worn and discolored. There is wear overall to the stained wood surfaces. One back leg has an old splice repair.
