This oversized framed award was saved from George Halas’s office shortly after his passing by long time employee, and personal friend, Matt Switek. An award presented to Halas by the Armed Forces of the United States thanking him for not only his service to his country (He was a Captain in the Navy during WWII) but also in appreciation of his charity work involving those who also served and their families in need.
