crest-rail with repaired breaks at both stile attachments, the right-facing side still with visible loss to wood along interior edge; repaired break to back left-facing stile / leg at frame attachment, and both back legs re-pinned, the right-facing leg with some splitting, which has apparently been pinned along right side of leg, both back legs also with metal braces installed to underside and to underside of seat frame; front left-facing corner of seat frame with split along left side and along front corner, the left side split with a couple related breaks-- the split slightly loose, and the interior glue block with glue repair to stabilize corner; the other front glue block also with evident glue repair; the back corner blocks are replaced; the front side knee returns have been reinforced with screws; some occasional scrapes or scuffs commensurate with age and use; the seat is upholstered in modern fabric; seat frame is period
