With molded lift-lid rectangular top inlaid with marquetry panel depicting Apollo as Charioteer, the top revealing interior mirror plate and pull-out work surface drawer lined with baize, above a lower drawer, on four carved and canted legs connected by stretcher, on volute-form feet, stamped to upper drawer, "Geo Hess/ Pat. Feb. 8. 76."
