With paper cover bearing title "Reception of General Grant By Citizens of New York, November 20, 1865" which is inscribed to "N.P. Willis Esq." An exceptionally scarce imprint, Rare Book Hub indicates it last appeared at auction in 1870. -- "Official Programme of the Grant Reception." Chicago, 12 November 1879. 4pp, 9 x 12 in. (toning, light soil, small tears at edgelines, creasing), accompanied by printed insert of the toast and response given by Robert G. Ingersoll at The Grand Banquet at the Palmer House, Chicago, the following day.
