[CIVIL WAR]. Quarter plate tintype of a grizzled soldier posed before painted camp backdrop.
Quarter plate seated portrait of a worn soldier with long sideburns, mustache, and beard, posed before a painted backdrop featuring tents, rolling hills, and a standing soldier. (Central vertical crease to plate, scratches and abrasions throughout plate and around edge, spotting throughout; unsealed.) Housed in a Rare figural Union case, Sir Henry Havelock [1-275] (non-functioning closure) along with an additional quarter plate tintype portrait of a family.
Though it cannot be confirmed, it appears as though the soldier could be missing a hand.
