Appearing in overall good, stable, and ready to place condition. The mahogany has an even polished brown patina with minimal nicks, scuffs, and scrapes. The upper cabinet doors are in good working order and there are height adjustable shelves within the cabinet. One door sticks slightly. The lower portion opens to a writing surface. The writing surface with scattered old scuffs, dark marks, and scrapes from use. The drawers open and close smoothly. There is no key for the small inlaid cabinet on the interior of the desk. There is one key that works for the upper and lower locks. The brasses appear to be old replacements. The top is possibly married to the base as evidence by the roughly one inch overhang on the back of the top case when it sits on the bottom. The lower case appears to have more age than the upper cabinets but this is not noticeable unless viewed closely. Additional images are available upon request
