Both chairs are in excellent structural condition and present evidence of quality restoration work. Once chair displays a slight water stain to the seat and both chairs display a few areas of what appears to be dirt/dust staining to the upholstery which would most likely be improved with a thorough cleaning/brushing. Both chairs present mortise and tenon as well as dowel joinery which is appropriate for the period.
