Bolt action rifle fed by detachable single stack magazines and mounting adjustable aperture rear and four piece folding front sights. Receiver and barrel are both struck UNITED STATES/PROPERTY/SERIAL NO. 11764. Left barrel and receiver show British pressure proofs and Birmingham proof markings. Standard model marking to barrel marked in three lines reads O.F. MOSSBERG & SONS INC./NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A./42M-B 22 S-L-LR. Comes with leather 1907 pattern sling. Barrel is drilled and tapped in two places for optics mounting with screw holes empty.
