Parkerized metal finish set in walnut semi-pistol grip stock with full length upper handguard and mounting standard adjustable ladder rear aperture and front blade sights with protectors. Bolt action semi-detachable magazine fed repeating rifle with cock on close action. Left stock ring is struck with the S mark for Savage Arms Corporation above a date mark of 1942. Model mark to the left receiver reads No 4 MK I* with the upper left receiver marked U.S. PROPERTY. Forward receiver marked with the Canadian {Arrow in C} marking. Left receiver shows IAC ALEX VA importer marking electropenned in place. Serial number to the receiver and bolt match. Item features two-groove rifling.
