**WWI-era Remington Contract Mosin-Nagant Model 1891 Rifle

7.62x54mmR. 31.5" barrel length. SN: 301577. Blued metal finish with polished bolt set in lacquered straight wrist stock with full length upper handguard and mounting standard Konavolov style rear ladder and front blade sights. Bolt action internal magazine fed repeating rifle with octagonal receiver. Barrel shank shows maker mark reading REMINGTON/ARMORY/1917 with both the barrel shank and receiver displaying the {Imperial Russian Eagle} stamp. Right side of the rear sight base shows the Cyrillic P mark. Top of the rear sight base struck X forward of the ladder. Stock has some weak details that have been sanded down, and rounded edges to the finger grooves.
