**Japanese Koshikawa Type 44 Arisaka Carbine 3rd Variation

6.5x50mm. 19.2" barrel length. SN: 07340. Blued metal refinish with full length wood semi-pistol grip stock with spliced toe and featuring an under-folding triangular spike-bayonet. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine charged with stripper clips. Item features an adjustable rear ladder notch and barleycorn front blade sight with protectors. Receiver shows weak type markings indicating it has been refinished, along with a ground chrysanthemum. Left receiver shows the stacked cannonball logo of the {Koshikawa Arsenal}. Stock port for the cleaning kit is a single hole, consistent with the Third Variation Type 44s, along with the shortened and strengthened bayonet lug. Serial numbers do not match, and the bolt lacks a visible serial number.
