Each chair is in overall stable condition with old scuffs, marks, and surface scratches consistent with age and use. The wider and shorter example with a minor age split to the joint where the right armrest meets the back post; the taller example with possible restoration to the joints connecting the headrail to the back posts, as well as to the back of the left back post, a minor age split to the bottom on the reverse of the back splat.
