Lot of 2 platinum photographs, the first, approx. 7 x 9 in., housed in 13.5 x 16 in. mat, titled and inscribed in the negative lower left, "Chief - Revenger. "Crow" / Copyright 1900 / F.A. Rinehart, / Omaha," and numbered in the negative lower right, "No 1684." Subject wears eagle feathers in his hair and a hide shirt with hair locks and beaded strips and collar.
Platinum photograph, approx. 7 x 9.25 in., housed in 13.5 x 16 in. mat, titled in the negative below, "Touch The Cloud / Cheyennes," signed and dated in the negative lower left, "Copyright 1898 / F.A. Rinehart, / Omaha," and numbered in the negative lower right, "No 78[cut off]." Subject wears an eagle feather in his hair, a bone hairpipe breastplate, a trade wool breech cloth, and beaded moccasins, and holds a serrated wood club in his hands.
Chief Revenger photograph with some surface soil, heavier at edges.
Touch the Cloud photograph with some surface soil to edge and possible clipping/wear to left and right edges.
Both photographs attached to mat with two pieces of paper tape affixed to top edge.
