Stereoview titled on mount, "1613. Gen. G.A. Custer. Photograph taken in 1864." Mount verso with printed information about the "Photographic History" Civil War series and credit to publishers, Taylor & Huntington, Hartford, CT. Despite date recorded on mount, portrait originally captured on January 4, 1865 by Mathew Brady & Co. and subsequently published by Taylor & Huntington ca 1880s using the multiple lens negative [K-59V].
