Hand carved wooden cane, approximately 35 in. long with bone handle. Banner near top reads, "Cleveland and his Cabinet," with bust-length portraits carved below in bas-relief. President Grover Cleveland appears first, with members of his cabinet appointed during his second term in office (1893-1897), including Secretary of State Walter Q. Gresham, Secretary of Treasury John G. Carlisle, Secretary of War Daniel S. Lamont, Postmaster General Wilson S. Bissell, Attorney General Richard Olney, Secretary of Navy Hilary A. Herbert, Secretary of Interior Hoke Smith, and Secretary of Agriculture Julius Sterling Morton, each identified beneath likeness.
