London: Henry Colburn, 1827. In three volumes. First English edition. 8vo. Full contemporary purple calf, stamped in blind and in gilt, spines faded; marbled edges, matching marbled endpapers; signature of “Josiah Wedgwood”, presumably Josiah Wedgwood III (1795-1880), on front blank of each volume; scattered foxing and soiling to text.
A handsome first English edition of Cooper's eighth novel.
