A Federal serpentine inlaid mahogany card table, probably Boston, MA, 1800-1810

With shaped top having outset corners, shaped apron with inlaid oval reserve, on tapered turned and reeded legs, retaining old label to underside, inscribed, “Belonged to Lydia Tarbox Hood m. 1776/ wife of Richard Hood/ Sally Bradle Wolff's great, great, great grandmother.”

H: 29 ½ in. W: 36 ¼ in. D: 17 ¼ in.

Richard Hood (1750-1835) fought in the Revolutionary War. He married Lydia Tarbox Hood (1753-1824) on February 15, 1776 in Wenham, Massachusetts.
