Shape No. 11 in the Wedgwood Shape Book, after a design by Edme Bouchardon, published by Gabriel Huquier in his Second Livres de Vases Inventes par Edme Bouchardon, but the Wedgwood example with mermen replacing mermaids
The pierced cover likely a modern replacement
The square base (which may be later) impressed “Wedgwood & Bentley"; the vase itself securely of the period
H: 10 ½, W: 6 ¼, D: 4 ¼ in.
