With yoke-back crestrail and solid splat, mounted with brass plaque engraved, "Queen Victoria's Chair/ This is the Chair Used by Her Majesty Queen Victoria in Crathie Church After the Death of Prince Albert," shepherd's crook arms, cabriole legs with carved c-scrolls, terminating in pad feet, the legs connected by turned stretchers, back of seat rail marked, "III," with slip seat upholstered in later floral silk.
H: 40 1/2 in. W: 24 1/2 in. D: 20 in.Following Prince Albert's death in 1861, Queen Victoria remained in mourning for the rest of her life, so it is possible that she may have used the chair later in the 19th century.
