lot 22: two-board panel, the reverse with expected wood cleats for stabilization, which may be later, with some areas of wood loss to surface evident around one cleat; the seam somewhat visible; the painted surface exhibiting patination and cracquelure commensurate with age, with some noted areas of crackling / old lifting to paint, but overall mostly stable; with some scattered losses to paint, and UV light revealing some scattered areas of retouching, as well as some areas of green fluorescence consistent with later applied varnish; with pen inscription verso, and with modern hanging mount verso.
