This painting will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Raisonné of Edward Redfield's work being compiled by Dr. Thomas Folk.
Private Collection, New York.
In overall fair to good condition. The work would likely benefit from a light cleaning. With a network of fine hairline craquelure throughout, all of which appear stable. Examination under UV light reveals a heavy layer of old greenish varnish throughout, and some careful inpainting in some of the aforementioned cracks (mostly visible in the sky, but also some minor occurrences at bottom and center left, around the cattle).
