The unlined canvas in good original condition. UV light reveals minor areas of inpainting across sky in upper left, in lower left corner within water, in lower left quadrant (approximately 3 inches below boat, corresponding to a 2-inch repair patched from verso), and a small area in rocks along the shore at right. Faint horizontal lines of stretcher stress along top and bottom of composition, approximately 2 inches from edge of frame. While largely unnoticeable from recto and unobtrusive, we notice scattered, pinpoint-sized holes from verso. See Specialist photos for details.
