The wax-lined canvas in overall fair to good condition. Examination under UV light reveals sporadic and hazy signs of what appears to be light inpainting in the sky and water (see upper left, upper center, center right, and bottom right). Since those areas correspond to a network of minuscule black dots, it seems to us that those areas correspond to where the oil was likely thin, and the restoration was meant to hide the old, darker priming that was resurfacing.
