The figure, appearing to lift the hem of his robe revealing a beaded waist ornament, the other hand pierced; the stone of a grey-green celadon with russet and beige inclusions and veining, with a soft surface polish; later carved hardwood stand.
H: 8 1/4 in. (jade)Very minor abrasions and tiny scattered flakes to extremities, non-disfiguring; possible polishing to top of one ear, lacking object in lower hand, scattered natural fissures and inclusions, particularly to the lower edges of robe and lower back; top of head polished. Minor dings and wear to wood stand.
