Publisher's full orange vellum, stamped in gilt, spine very lightly faded; top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed; in black cloth slip case.
The Nonesuch Press was founded in 1922 by Francis Meynell, his wife Vera, and their friend David Garnett. Their aim was to produce high-quality and beautiful works, but printed by commercial printers so they could be more accessible to the common reader.
