chair 1: with break / split on right-facing stretcher where it meets center stretcher, old cracqueled varnish to surface; chair 2: with later webbing, which has become partially detached, evidence of being fitted with casters, with holes to underside, accompanied by 4 old wood shims and 4 brass casters; both chairs with grime build-up and evidence of wear including scattered scuffs, scrapes, and some minor water spotting; accompanied by 1 original seat frame, and an old replacement seat board with old label inscribed in ink, “Mrs. C.L. Remington/ 123 Waverly Place/ New York”; also accompanied by four other wood boards which may have been part of a previous upholstery scheme, and two former upholstery fabric remnants
