(frame); a few vertical splits to panel, which appear to be reinforced / stabilized from back; scattered retouching throughout, revealed with fluorescence under UV light, a good percentage of these retouches applied to former flaked losses; there are some occasional flakes or specks of loss and age cracks to painted surface, and some general yellowing or darkening to some of the pigments; the portrait panel is mounted to back of older frame, which is inset in the later frame; the portrait panel has an area of old insect damage along back edge (not visible)
