The unlined canvas in overall fair to good condition, with faint abrasions along the outer edges of the work (especially visible at left, up and right). With a series of minor flakes at bottom left. Examination under UV light reveals remnants of old glossy varnish throughout. We can notice restoration at upper right and center right (background and woman's hair). Also at center left. With some meticulous inpainting at bottom center on the woman's bust (most likely following old craquelure). See Specialist's pictures for more details.
