We wish to thank the Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie, also known as R.K.D., for their kind assistance in researching the present Lot. First attributed to Hans van Sant (active in Haarlen, 1630-1653), who was influenced by the 17th Century still life painter Williem Claesz Heda, the work is now considered a 17th century copy after an original composition attributed to Willem Claesz Heda.
