Carey Bok was the grandson of Cyrus Curtis (Curtis Publishing Co.) and the son of Mary Louise Curtis Bok, who founded the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Carey was Executive Vice President at Curtis Publishing and Treasurer at the Institute. This portrait hung in his mother-in-law's house in Chestnut Hill.
