Illustrated with mounted color frontispiece, 3 double-page silhouettes with color, 14 single-page silhouettes in black and white, one of which has color and is not present in the trade edition, and numerous in-text black and white illustrations. Publisher's quarter vellum over cream paper-covered boards, stamped in gilt, scratch in front board, foxing to fore-edge; top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed; illustrated green endpapers.
