London: George G. Harrap & Company Limited., (1923). First edition. 4to. (iii), 48 pp. Illustrated with color frontispiece and 48 color plates, interspersed between pages of calligraphic text, all mounted to gray matte paper. Publisher's quarter vellum over gray paper-covered boards, slightly bowed, stamped in black and in gilt, very lightly soiled at extremities; all edges trimmed; very light offsetting to some pages opposite plates; prelims foxed; dust-jacket wanting.
Most copies from the original printing of 2,000 are said to have been destroyed, along with the original drawings, when George G. Harrap's publishing house was bombed during The Blitz of London in early 1941.
A handsome copy of a beautifully produced and illustrated work, it is Timlin’s only published book.
