Comprising approximately fifty-three tintypes, fifty-three cabinet cards / postcard, and one ambrotype, with a series housed in an embossed leather-bound album; overall including portraits of single sitters, couples, children, and family groups, the majority depicting African Americans, some sitters identified and dated verso, "Nathan Williams/ Son Granville Williams," "Lewis Williams, "Annie Rodgers," "Sept 1st 1873/ age 14 years four months," "Rudolf Dubois," "Elmer Berry," "Laura Rodenbaugh," "Dr. Harry Baker," "Wes Hatten," "Lodge," and "Isaac"; the cabinet cards from various photography studios, mostly from Philadelphia, but also from Lancaster, West Chester, Chester, Norristown, and Erie, Pennsylvania; Richmond, Virginia; and Washington, D.C., including: Jacob Haldt & Co., L. Blaul, Original Fowler Studio, Chandler Schutz, William C. Withers, Kuser, Lukens & Kirkpatrick, Kuebler, Gilbert & Bacon, Roshengatter & Pearce, J. Bronson, The Pinero Studio, L.A. Sawyer, L.
