Note

This flag was designed and patented by Wayne Whipple (1856-1942) of Germantown, Pennsylvania, a vexiollologist and prolific author of popular American histories and a history of the American Flag. Whipple promoted his design for the American Flag canton, of a Great Star comprised of 13 Stars enclosed by ring of 25 stars and outer ring of 10 stars to members of Congress, newspapers and presidents.
