Note John H. Stokes, MD, was married to Ann Evans. She was the daughter of Isaac Evans and Bathsheba Stokes. Bathsheba was the daughter of Joseph Stokes and Judith Lippincott, who was the daughter of Freedom Lippincott and Mary Curtis. Freedom's parents, Richard and Abigail Lippincott, were the original generation of Lippincotts. Isaac Evans was the son of Isaac Evans and Hannah Roberts. She was the daughter of John Roberts and Mary Elkinton. Mary was the daughter of George Elkinton, the original generation of Elkintons in Burlington, New Jersey. Isaac, Sr. was the son of Thomas Evans and Esther Haines. Esther was the daughter of John Haines and Esther Borton, she being the daughter of John and Ann Borton, the original generation of the Borton Family. John Haines was the son of Richard and Margaret Haines, the original generation of the Haines Family. Thomas Evans was the son of William and Elizabeth Evans, the original generation of the Evans Family in New Jersey.
