The chestnut-brown patinated bronze case, Japanese, Meiji period, in the form of a fierce shishi atop a "brocade" ball; the western brass dial signed 'J.E. Caldwell & Co./Philadelphia', the movement stamped 'J.E. Caldwell & Co./Philadelphia' and 'LM 16101.'; all on a verde marble base.

H: 17 in. W: 14 1/2 in. D: 9 1/2 in.
