Artist Biography
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1954, Geary Jones received his BFA from the University of Michigan in 1978 and his MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1981. Jones’s body of work ranges from miniature tapestries to monumental assemblages. Jones received the Pollock-Krasner award in 2007, and has lectured at prominent institutions such as the Art Institute of Chicago. Jones passed away in 2019.
