Artist Biography

Born in 1982 in Indianapolis, Stacey Lee Webber is a metalsmith who now lives and works in Philadelphia. She received her BFA from Ball State University in 2005 and her MFA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2008, and has since worked in metal and embroidery to create jewelry, sculpture, and objects. Webber often works with currency—pennies in particular—to create intricate works that are more than the sum of their parts. Her work can be found in the collections of the Renwick Gallery in Washington, D.C., the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, Massachusetts, and in numerous privat
