Of typical form with two handles and footed base, decorated with incised lines, the handles engraved, "M" and "Mc: K," with partially rubbed mark to underside within heart-form reserve; together with a land grant on vellum, signed by Governor Thomas McKean and Deputy Secretary James Trimble (1755-1837), dated February 2, 1805, which gave Robert Walker a tract of land called Dundee, located on Buffalo Creek, Donegall Township, Washington County, presented alongside an engraved portrait of Thomas McKean by T.B. Welch after Gilbert Stuart, matted and framed.

Direct descendance from Founding Father, Thomas McKean (1734-1817), first governor of Pennsylvania, signer of the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation to the present owners.
McKean was the child of Irish-born Protestants of Scottish descent, William McKean and Letitia Finney, who were brought to Chester County, Pennsylvania from Ballymoney County Antrim, Ireland as children.
