The circular shallow dish with a central reserve depicting a sinuous dragon in iron red with associated flames, against a ground of crashing waves in underglaze blue, the exterior with similar dragons beneath a border of demi-florets, underside with mark in underglaze blue; underside with "Da Qing Qianlong nian zhi" seal mark in underglaze blue.
